Protein Structure Fingerprint Technology
The research of protein structure is a great challenge at life sciences in the post genome era. Confronting with the limitations of protein structures in determination, analysis, interpretation, the protein structure fingerprinting technology has been successfully developed, which presents new concepts, new ideas and new information for interpretation and prediction of protein folding conformation. With this technology, biomedical researchers are able sufficiently to utilize the information from various global protein databases.
This technology is not only able to provide the complete description of conformation for any protein with known 3D structure, but also to predict the comprehensive conformation for any protein with unknown 3D structure. Also, this technology can be used for quantitative assessment of similarity of protein conformations. In addition, it can make the high-throughput screening a large number of protein data for drug discovery, providing the lead information for bioassay.
This technology can be applied to various biological researches, such as gene mutation, recombination protein, protein differentiation analysis between species, protein conformation design, antibody-antigen recognition, analysis of virus / bacteria strain evolution, discovery of drug multiple targets etc.
